In Loving Memory And Tribute
To Our Grandson

May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you

May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young

May you grow up to be righteous
May you grow up to be true
May you always be the truth
And see the lights surrounding you

May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
May you stay forever young

May your hands be always busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the wind of changes shift

May your heart always be joyful
May your song always be sung
May you stay forever young

I have looked in the halls of science
And on the walls where fools have wrote
I've sat in solitary silence
Hoping to hear the words you spoke

I have scrutinzed the scriptures
Wondering how you got so far
I have looked at all the pictures
To find out where you are,
where you are.

I looked in the local paper.
I checked over all my mail.
I read through the yellow pages,
Came out with nothing much to tell.

I looked in the lost and found,
No one around I know that well.
I looked deep into my heart,
And I see there's something there,
something there

You gave your hand to Thomas, doubting.
His mind would not let him believe.
Spoke to Paul in a flash of lightning.
I guess we're all blind to see.

When I've taken my last breath,
And look back on rhe world I leave,
Hope I can go with no regrets,
So nothing can keep this from me.

Greatest of places where you wait.
This universe behind the stars.
And when I get to heavens gates,
I know that I'll be where you are,
where you are.

Accidents happen, that's what they all say
That's why you are gone, oh so far away
A young life lost, to great heaven above.
Flying away like a beautiful dove.

A handsome guy, with a thousand great friends
None of those hearts will ever mend.
A bright young man, always wearing a smile
Always willing to sacrifice and go the extra mile.

Some people talk, and yea they will chatter
But we keep your famly and friends strong,
that's the real matter.
You have bright new angel wings,
And heaven rejoiced and oh, did they sing.

A young man wth the most tender heart,
You care and watch over us never really to part.
Now you are safe, and away from all harm.
But we all miss your amazing charm.

"I'll send you for a little time
A child of mine, He said,
For you to love the while he lives
And mourn for when he's dead.

It may be forty or fifty years,
Or even two or three
But will you, till I call him back
Take care of him, for me?

He'll bring his charms to gladden you,
And should his stay be brief,
You'll have his lovely memories
As solace for your grief.

I cannot promise he will stay,
Since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught down here
I want this child to learn.

I've looked this wide world over
In my search for teachers true.
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes
I have selected you.

Now, will you give him all your love
Nor think the labor vain, ,
Nor hate me when I come to call
To take him back again.

I fancied that I heard him say,
'Dear Lord thy will be done.'
For all the joy thy child shall bring,
The risk of grief we'll run.

We'll shelter him with tenderness,
We'll love him while we may.
And for the happiness we've known,
Forever grateful stay.

But should the angels call for him
Much sooner than we've planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes,
And try to understand."

We do not need a special day
To bring you to our minds.
The days we do not think of you
Are very hard to find.

Each morning when we wake,
We know that you are gone.
And no one knows the heart ache
As we try to carry on.

Our hearts still ache with sadness
And secret tears stll flow.
What it meant to lose you
No one will ever know

Our thoughts are always with you,
Your place no one can fill
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we love you still.

There will always be a heartache,
And often a silent tear.
But always a precious memory
Of the days when you were here.

We hold you close within our hearts,
And there you will remain,
To walk with us throughout our lives
Until me meet again.

Our family chain is broken now,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

He Only Takes The Best

A heart of gold stopped beating
Two shining eyes at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.

Little did we know that morning,
The sorrow the day would bring.

The end was sudden, the shock severe
We never knew that death was so near

When days are sad and lonely,
And evening shadows fall,

We hear your voice and see your face.
Your sweet memory lingers on.

God knew you had to leave us.
But you didn't go alone.

For part of us went with you.
The day God called you home.
