From Lane To Grandma

The day I left I saw many tears,
That were streaming down your cheeks,
And although I tried to comfort you,
My words they could not speak.

I was trying to say I love you,
And how I wasn't meant to stay,
But only stopped there to visit you,
Before continuing on my way.

You see..God had only wanted me,
To show you children yet to come,
All the joys future grandkids will bring,
Before your life is done.

When Daddy held me in his arms,
I felt the strength of his love,
And tried to squeeze his hand in mine,
Before being called up above.

I miss my Mommy and my Dad,
And all who loved me so,
But when Jesus called my name out loud,
I knew it was time to go.

Please don't tread in the pain of sadness,
Rather try to take comfort instead,
Knowing that the arms of God and His Angels,
Is the place where I now rest my head.

I want you to know how blessed I am,
To be amongst such heavenly beings,
On the day I arrived and was welcomed here,
My eyes blinked at what they were seeing!

The words in this message I'm sending you,
Is meant to be shared with others,
Please let them know to never forget,
God's here for all sisters and brothers.

Poems And Sayings I Like

Some people only dream of seeing an angel...
We've actually held one

Lane Allen Orr

Budded on earth to bloom in Heaven

God needed an angel in Heaven
To stand at the Saviors feet
His choice must be the rarest, A lily pure and sweet

He gazed among the mighty throng,
then stopped and picked the best
Our grandchild was his chosen one,
with Jesus he now rests

How very softly you tiptoed into our world

Almost silently, only a moment you stayed,
but what an imprint your footprints have left
upon our heart

We'll hold you in Heaven

" A butterfly lights beside us, like a sunbeam
and for a brief moment, it's glory and beauty
belong to our world

But then it flies on again,
and although we wish it could have stayed,

We are so thankful to have seen it at all"

When a little child departs, we who are left behind,
Must realize God loves children,
and Angels are hard to find

Grandma's Hugs Are Made Of Love!

Everything my grandma does
is something special made with love.
She takes time to add the extra touch
that says, "I love you very much."

She fixes hurts with a kiss and smile
and tells good stories grandma-style.
It's warm and cozy on her lap
for secret telling or a nap.

And when I say my prayers at night
I ask God to bless and hold her tight.
Cause when it comes to giving hugs
my grandma's arms are filled with love!
